Poster Design
In this project, the goal was to create a poster with beautifully designed typography for a museum and a featured artist of that museum. I chose Alice Neel who is showcased at The Met in New York.
Problem
Create a poster for a museum featuring a specific artist of my choice with beautifully selected typography.
Process
I started by doing some research on some paintings that I liked and thought I could make a poster with. After looking through many paintings, I narrowed it down to two that I would be focusing on and did some color studies.
Type Studies
After doing a type study, I decided that using Baskerville would be the best option for my poster
Sketches
Solution
Once I had my research, my color studies, my type studies, and my sketches, I started some comps and built out some different posters eventually getting to my final design.
